January 2014 storms

For those who are wondering, The Meadow is still here after all the storms and high tides at Holywell Bay. It’s been an interesting time for anyone having a winter holiday here.

The sea was massive with waves breaking further out to sea than Gull Rocks but photo’s were difficult to get due to poor weather and the big high tides occurring after dark. The beach took a bit of a pounding with large portions of the sand dunes being cut away. However in a few weeks the sand will level out and all will be back to normal.
